Listen to Leafs Lunch

Having grown weary of nearly every American media outlet, I've fallen in love with the boys north of the border who host "Leafs Lunch" on AM-640 Toronto. Jeff Marek and Bill Watters don't use stunts, bad humor (sorry, "humour") or fake tiffs to fill air time. Both are well-informed observers and critics of the hockey world, particularly the fish bowl that is the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.

Big name guests. Great interviews. Sharp wit. Brutal honesty (as the radio station's tag line promotes). The noon to 2 p.m. slot in my days has now become so addicting that I've even sacrificed a couple of open hockey sessions to catch the show online.

For whatever it's worth.
